The grid is full. Your order book is not.
Across much of the Netherlands, a heavier or new connection means years of waiting. For manufacturing, logistics and property development that translates into no extra machines, no charging points, no new building. The project stalls while the market moves on.
Meanwhile the grid operator arrives with contracts of its own — a CSC, a biedplichtcontract, blokstroom — whether you are in the queue or have had a connection for years. They sound like a catch: you get room, but not always at the moment you want it. That is exactly the problem a battery solves.

The engineering is identical; the difference is whose balance sheet the system sits on. Both can work — which is better for you depends on your capital position and your tax position.

We finance, install, manage and monitor the system. You pay a fixed monthly fee and keep your capital available for your own business. No residual-value risk, no maintenance budget.

The questions we get most
What does a BAT3 battery system cost?
You can buy it or take it as a service. As a service, expanding an existing connection starts at €975 per month for 125 kW; a new connection starts at €1,350 per month. If you buy, the investment is higher but the lifetime cost is usually lower, and the investment often qualifies for the Dutch EIA scheme. We put both side by side.
The grid operator is offering me a CSC. Should I sign?
A capaciteitssturingscontract has been the successor to the CBC since May 2026 and is often the fastest route to capacity: if you are in the queue, it lets you agree temporary extra capacity. The question is not whether to sign but whether you can bridge the agreed moments. With a correctly sized battery you can, without your production noticing. Have it worked through before you sign.
How quickly can the system be running?
If you already have a connection, about three months after signing is realistic; work on site usually takes a single day. If a new or heavier connection is needed, allow 6 to 18 months — depending on your grid operator and on what is possible in your grid area.
